Cordyceps Militaris Price in India (2026): Raw, Capsules, Tincture & Combos Compared

3 min read

If you have searched for the price of Cordyceps in India, you have probably seen everything from ₹461 capsules on a marketplace to wild Himalayan Kida Jadi quoted in lakhs per kilo — and wondered which number is real. The honest answer: all of them are "real", but they are prices for very different things. This guide explains what Cordyceps militaris actually costs in India in 2026, why the range is so wide, and how to work out what a product will cost you per day before you buy.

Why Cordyceps prices in India vary so much

Three things decide the price of any Cordyceps product:

1. Species. Wild Ophiocordyceps sinensis (traditional Kida Jadi) cannot be farmed. It is collected by hand in the high Himalaya in a short season, and genuine material trades at prices that can run into lakhs per kilogram. Cultivated Cordyceps militaris — the species in almost every supplement sold in India — is grown indoors, so it costs a fraction of the wild fungus while providing the compounds, like cordycepin, that most buyers are looking for.

2. Part of the fungus. Whole dried fruiting body is the most expensive form to produce. Extracts come next. The cheapest products are usually mycelium grown on grain and sold with the grain still in the powder — you are paying mushroom prices for what is partly starch.

3. Format. Raw fruiting body, capsules and liquid tincture involve different processing, so the same fungus appears at different price points. What matters is not the sticker price but the cost per day at the suggested serving.

Cordyceps militaris prices at Cordygen (November 2026)

These are the current prices on cordygen.in, with the per-day cost worked out from the suggested use printed on each label:

Product Size Price MRP Suggested use Lasts Approx. cost/day

Combos: when a bundle is genuinely cheaper

If you plan to use two formats — many people take capsules on workdays and the raw fruiting body in morning tea on weekends — the combos work out cheaper than buying separately:

Combo Price Bought separately You save
Capsules + Tincture ₹3,999 ₹4,498 ₹499
Raw + Capsules ₹4,999 ₹5,498 ₹499
Diwali Gift Box — Raw + Tincture ₹5,499 ₹5,998 ₹499 (MRP ₹7,798)
Complete Trio — all three ₹6,999 ₹7,997 ₹998

How to judge any Cordyceps price (ours or anyone's)

Do the per-day maths. Divide the price by the number of days the pack lasts at the label's suggested serving. A ₹461 pack that lasts four days is more expensive than a ₹1,999 pack that lasts a month.

Check what the weight actually is. "10 g" blends and 4-capsule trial packs are priced to look cheap. Compare grams of named fruiting body or extract, not pack counts.

Be suspicious of cheap "wild Himalayan" claims. Genuine wild sinensis is among the most expensive natural products on earth. If a listing offers it at a few hundred rupees, it is not wild sinensis.

Look for the maker. A real manufacturer name, address and FSSAI number should be on the pack. Cordygen products are made by Shnikh Agrobiotech Private Limited, Rau, Indore (FSSAI Reg. No. 21426850004712) — verify the same on anything you buy.

Which format gives the best value?

On pure cost per day, the capsules are the most economical way to take Cordyceps militaris daily (≈ ₹67/day for a full month). The raw fruiting body costs more per day but is the whole mushroom with nothing processed out — the choice for people who want the ingredient in its original form and enjoy the ritual of tea. The tincture sits between the two and suits people who dislike swallowing capsules.
